Prince George (George Alexander Louis Mountbatten-Windsor; born 22 July 2013) is the eldest child of The Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. He is the third in the line of succession to the British throne and thrones of each of the other Commonwealth Realms. As the son of The Duke of Cambridge and great-grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince George is a member of the British Royal Family.
The Prince's Life
Prince George was born on 22 July 2013 at St Mary's Hospital at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, West London, England. His father is Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, the eldest son of Charles, Prince of Wales. His mother is Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. As a great-grandchild of the British monarch and son of The Duke of Cambridge, he is styled His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge. He has been nicknamed Georgie by his grandfather.
He was christened on October 23 2013 at St James' Palace by the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Reverend, Justin Welby. His godparents are: Zara Tindall (his father's cousin), Oliver Baker, Emelia Jardine-Paterson, William van Cutsem, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, Julia Samuel, and Earl Grosvenor.
